Adoption. All children deserve a loving family to call their own.
There are 4,787 children in foster care in Louisiana; 653 of these children are waiting for adoptive families.
There is a great need for parents willing to be licensed foster parents, able to provide a temporary home for children needing a stable, loving environment. There is also a need for parents wanting to adopt children that are legally available to be adopted.
If you are interested in fostering temporarily, or fostering to adopt, you will first need to become a Certified Foster Parent and will begin the process by attending orientation at your local DCFS.
